At what point should a Christian involved in an apologetic dialogue with someone gracefully end the conversation for the time being as to not engage in bickering or excessive dialogue? In my experience, many conversations I have had went on far too long.

Most often when people raise questions we have answers for, the fruitful answers aren't the ones that address they questions they ask, but the questions they don't ask. That requires that we use some discernment.
