The same type of thing happened with me. I have had a strong desire to influence the pro-life movement. My desire, perseverance, etc., only increased when Scott Klusendorf encouraged me with these words:

My father was an economics professor at California State University, and I remember him telling me many years ago that one of his students had written to WFB, and WFB replied to his letter. Also, I understand that the first President Bush has corresponded with thousands of strangers throughout his life.
