Greg has been doing radio for 20 years as of today. He began before STR's founding working for KBRT two days a week, eventually going to one day when STR bought the time for the organization's broadcast. The show started with the previous host's title, Talk from the Heart, which didn't suit Greg's style very well. It went through several names, none of which seemed right: Mars Hill, Aeropagus, The Show with No Name. After founding Stand to Reason in 1993, that was a fitting name and so it has been every since.
Interesting. It is quite funny to think of this show being called "Talk from the Heart". Sounds like something Joel Osteen would be speaking on. Thank you for changing the name. Stand To Reason is such an accurate description of what you guys do.

Congratulations! I've found myself learning more and more from Stand to Reason lately, thank you and God Bless!

Congrats!! I've benefited from STR for the last seven years since I became a Christian!
I also want to ask, can you guys please fix the donation form, it is currently not secure, I want to renew my monthly donation to STR but I won't enter my credit card on that page until the form is properly secure. I emailed about this a few days ago but it seems the same as before ... I don't want you guys to be missing out on donations, and I imagine that anyone who is knowledgeable about this sort of thing would not donate once they noticed the page is not secure. Thanks!

I started listening to Greg from the beginning. I just wish he was on Sat. and Sun. I notice he went from a charismatic situation at Hope Chapel to a more Reformed stance, which is similar to what I've been thru. My eyes have been opened and I can see the Gospel of Grace more clearly now thanks to STR (and Mike Horton's group-Modern Reformation Magazine).
Thanks again Greg keep up the great work!

emmzee, I checked on this, and it turns out that the order/donation forms are secure, but the pagewrapper is not. That's why some browsers will flag it. If we secured the wrapper, it would cause popups in IE on every page. Our IT guy is working on a way to make all this work together without causing problems in IE. But feel free to call with your donor info in the meantime. And thanks!

Greg took the show over from Rich Buhler? Didn't know that. I do remember "The Show With No Name," though.
20 years, wow!

I have been a faithful listener to Greg from the beginning. I have even called him to pick his brain, I mean his mind a couple of times as well.
The cost of a portable radio to listen to Greg 20 years ago-$10.00. The cost of an I-pod to listen to Greg now-$150.00. Learning to become a better Ambassador for Christ-Priceless.
Thanks Greg for instruction:)>

10 or 11 years for me. I haven't missed an episode since, although sometimes I'm as much as two weeks behind. STR has had a huge impact on me, and I'm very thankful for them.

Congratulations on 20 years on the radio! Thanks for putting the shows on the web too, as I've never listened to the "live" show. I'll never forget being deployed to Djibouti, Africa the winter of 03/04--as a Comm Officer, I had an internet connection and must have listened to over a year of broadcasts those four months. THANKS and may God Bless you for all you do, Greg (so much of it for free).
