Romans 16:17-18
17I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. 18For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

Avoid them being the key in this passage.

There are various theological issues that are complicated and difficult to sort through, and on which sincere, Bible believing Christians may take different views. But homosexuality is not one of them. The Bible is blatantly clear on its teaching against homosexuality. How this particular issue has become an issue for debate is something I will never understand.

I've come to the sad conclusion that Christians are simply terrified. Our culture is hostile (and becoming increasingly so) to anyone who does not fully support homosexuality. Christians are so afraid of called names and ostracized that they refuse to stand up on this issue and agree with what the Bible so clearly teaches.

It think it's shameful that we have become so cowardly.
