What's the best way to start a conversation with a stranger?
Comments
Just an observation...
I LOVE Tactics! It's a great book, and I recommend it to people.
But why, oh why, do people not use what Greg suggests is something as obvious as questions? (Which it is on a moment's reflection.)
I mean, even if people are misers and won't splash out a few dollars for the book, Greg shares the ideas here, free - like this video - anyway!
It's a shame that most apologists I know, whilst having minds like bacon-slicers, come across as socially inept, aggressive, won't take no for an answer, and just seem to enjoy slicing up their interlocutor?
It seems to take place here even in the comments boxes as if nobody comes here to listen and learn...
If I didn't have a sincere interest in the person I am talking with, I wouldn't be interested in asking them questions - or trying to share the truth about Jesus with them.
But, that may have already occurred to you. If so, what was the purpose behind your post?

"minds like bacon-slicers"
Impressive! Mine can only slice through softened butter. :)

Being on the receiving end of this tactic must seem quite like having a person take a sincere interest in you.

RonH,
If I didn't have a sincere interest in the person I am talking with, I wouldn't be interested in asking them questions - or trying to share the truth about Jesus with them.
But, that may have already occurred to you. If so, what was the purpose behind your post?
