As always, I am enjoying the show.
One point I'd like to make regarding the college issue:
I agree that perhaps college is not the best option for everyone. But even such things as administrative jobs so often these days require a degree. What's most frustrating is that it often doesn't matter what the degree is in, just that they have it. (This makes no sense to me.)
So people are in a bind. Maybe they're not geared for college. They sure can't afford it. But they have to find a way to get there, because otherwise they can't compete for even basic sorts of jobs.
As someone who never went to college because of finances and because I had no idea what I wanted to do, it's maddening. I am now in my 40s. I've done admin jobs all my life. The end of June I will mark 7 years of being unemployed or only (very) PT employed. Not 7 months. 7 YEARS.
And yet job after job I see requires that degree.

I'm with Mo. I thought college degrees were seriously underrated in that episode because it is very hard to compete in the job market without any sort of degree. Having your degree helps your social life, too, especially in the context of dating. And I also thought money were seriously underrated in this episode. Life is VERY hard if you don't have enough money, especially if you have kids and want them to live in a safe neighborhood. And it'll get harder when you get old without money and can't retire. Lack of money is the source of all kinds of evils.
