But wait a minute! How could anybody have known what was supposed to be included in "the Bible" before the Catholic church pronounced on it?

Does STR have any material on the purported "late addition" of the adulteress story in John 8?

ab, the story of the woman caught in adultery in John 8 is most likely a late addition (as most Bibles note). Tomorrow's post will touch briefly on that.

Couldn't a previous correspondence between these two have clarified what was meant by the canon? I mean, isn't it at least possible that they had already had that conversation (in person or by letters)? I'm not saying it's likely, but at least possible.
