« All Paths Do Lead to God | Main | Challenge: Why Say Meaning Is Only Possible in a Theistic World? »

Good stuff. One other idea that came up is; can't the teacher identify that certain systems put man at the center of things and seek to serve him. So let them know, the Humanist system (or these ideas operate on a fundamental belief known as humanism which seeks to identify man as the center of things.) The teacher could let students know that not all systems are like this, even stopping at this point, indicating to the students without saying it, 'I don't believe this, you don't have to believe this system' but 'here are the facts of this system and remember what this system serves (humans)'. Wouldn't students at this point be screaming, what other systems exist? And if others exist which one should I follow?

Maybe even say other systems exist, I won't have time to get into them but this is the one we're learning about.

anti-bully day here is also known as Pink Shirt Day.. Wearing pink shirts it's expected for employees here at my office. I'm just wondering your thoughts on whether you think or not the act of wearing pink shirts is an indirect affirmation of same sex behavior.

This reminds of me of Paul's guidance to the Corinthians:

"I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world." 1 Cor. 5:9-10

There appears to be a recognition by Paul that we do live in a totally depraved world, and so we have to be able to figure out how to behave within that world while at the same time "contend[ing] earnestly for the faith"...and being ready to "pay the price"!

Christians are the bullies, they cause bullying with their terrible that says being gay is bad based on nothing. If you really want to reduce bullying (instead of just pretending to 'handle' the incident) you need to work at the root causes. If a gay person is bullied, that's often because religion caused them to hate gays.
