For the caller asking about dialoging with Mormons (and anyone else interested in the topic), I'd recommend Aplogia Ministry's videos of conversations with Mormons. Here's one example, but their YouTube channel has many others:

Jeff Durbin has led many Mormons to Christ over the years. I find the videos very informative, since you can see how Mormons respond to the usual passages that Christians bring up. Mormons generally have responses to those passages, but if you can follow-up with rejoinders to their responses, they're often unprepared and try to change the subject.
But the biggest takeaway might be Jeff's interpersonal manner. He makes it a point to let the person know that he's talking to them because he cares about them , and that he's not trying to make them look foolish or feel superior.
